Balsam fruit

It is a sparsely-branched annual herbaceous plant and grows about 0.3 to 1 m tall. The plant produce tap root with numerous fibrous lateral roots. Its leaves are alternately arranged along the succulent stems, lanceolate-elliptic and have serrate margins. The leaves are about 4 to 12 cm long and 1.5 to 3 cm wide.
